Synopsis of the Session Six Sigma is state-of-the art Quality Improvement Methodology developed by Motorola, which focuses on achieving breakthrough results. When properly deployed on carefully selected business projects, this methodology leads to significant reduction and elimination of defects, and out-of-control processes. This in turn translates into immediate and dramatic financial profitability Six Sigma seeks to identify and remove the causes of defects and errors in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts" etc.) who are experts in these methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets (cost reduction or profit increase). Presenter’s profile Zeeshan Jawaid will be delivering the “Six Sigma Fundamentals”. He is one of the few persons in Pakistan who are Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) from Singapore Quality Institute (SQI).He is an Electronics Engineer by profession and also holds the master of business administration MBA-Marketing. For more than a decade, he has been delivering services in growing telecom industry under different capacities like Project Management, Project Rollout, Business development, Next Generation Networks (NGN) Solution Selling, GSM/PSTN Core Managed Services, Quality management & Customer handling etc. Currently, he is Director Marketing of PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter. |
