PMI-KPC Mentor program is honoured by the volunteer registeration of our pioneer mentors. A brief profile of the program mentors is as follow:

Rear Admiral S.A.Mujtaba
A retired naval constructor, works as a free lance marine technology and project management consultant. He was commissioned in Pakistan Navy after graduating with merit from the UK 's Naval College at Dartmouth . He then went on to complete a 5-year, master's equivalent degree in naval construction, that is, design, construction, repair and modernisation of surface warships and submarines.

Upon return he served in the Pakistan Navy Dockyard for 17 years and rose from   the level of running workshops and design offices to the position of the head of the institution. During this period he was the project manager of various projects big and small. He worked for nearly 3 years in French Naval Dockyard. There he learnt the application of the project management methodology of PERT for the complex task of carrying out a major overhaul of a submarine. He introduced and extensively implemented the PERT methodology as Project Manager of the first major overhaul of a submarine ever conducted in Pakistan . 

He has served for over 13 years in the Naval Headquarters at Islamabad . He was responsible for defining the transfer of technology package and for conceiving the plan for the local construction project of the Agosta 90B submarines, now nearing completion. He was also the Director General of Naval Port Project at Ormara before retiring. He is now working as a consultant for a project to build at Karachi two 35 metre wooden  superyachts and one 110 metre steel megayacht meant for export.

Shuja Khan
A computer science graduate and Co-founder Progressive Systems (Pvt) Ltd which is a leading software export house of the country. Progressive Systems is a sister concern of Progressive Group of companies. Shuja started his career as an entrepreneur. He has been managing the offshore wing of the software house since last 10 years. His core responsibilities include but are not limited to managing a number of project managers, Liaison with the  US clients, making sure that the Quality software is delivered within time and budget and to keep the team motivated.

Currently he is working as Senior Manager Software projects, for the Progressive group which include about 6 companies.

Mr Jawaid Akhtar
Is a professional food technologist and business management graduate with specializations in marketing, finance and project management. His working experience spreads over nineteen years.

He has worked with Cadbury Pakistan , B.P. Food Industries, Ismail Industries, English Biscuits Manufacturers & French Food Products. The positions he worked are Manager Quality Assurance & Development, Manager Production and Human Resource Consultant.

Presently he is the faculty member at a national university and teaching Entrepreneurship, Small & Medium Enterprise Management, Total Quality Management, Marketing & Project Management to M.B.A. and B.B.A. levels. He is also teaching a U.K. based management program. Jawaid is a trainer and mentor in Project Management and teaching Project Management since last four years.

Owais Malick, PMP
14 years of industry experience out of which 7 years as a Project Management Faculty/Trainer and consultant at Pakistan Institute of Management and 7 years hands on experience in Project Management with all the leading consulting and contracting organizations e.g. Enar Petrotech Services,NESPAK and Descon Engineering Deputy General Manager. Currently involved in management consulting in the areas of Strategic planning, Performance management and Project Management,designing and conducting training programs for professionals, in the area of general management and Project management, and teaching in MBA and Diploma Programs.
